On 5th June 2022, IFEA celebrated World Environment Day with a trip to the village of Sayla which has many initiatives for solar energy generation and the use of gobar gas, handloom, micro-enterprise development, and dairy and agriculture based livelihoods. The trip included a visit to the Panchal Dairy. This dairy now manufactures artisanal cheeses such as pecorino, feta, cheddar, chevre and tomme using sheep and goat milk. This is the only sheep cheese making dairy in India and one of the few producers of goat cheese. The Panchal Rabaris keep Zalavadi goats, an indigenous breed of Surendranagar district. The trip included breakfast at Sarthak Satvik Farm with a visit to their A 2 Milk Ghee Facility and lunch at the Bell Guest House, a heritage house in Sayla.
