ONAM EVENT BY IFEA AND SNS AT DAKSHIN BHOJANAM
IFEA and SNS collaborated to organise an Onam lunch at Dakshin Bhojanam’s recently opened branch at Shivalik Shilip, ISCKON Crossroads, on 6th September 2025.
35 women, including home chefs and other women entrepreneurs, participated in the event. Two mandala artists demonstrated Kolam, a traditional South Indian folk art involving intricate, geometric designs drawn with rice flour on the ground outside homes. Kolam is considered an auspicious daily ritual that symbolises prosperity, welcomes guests, and provides food for insects and birds. The patterns are drawn around a grid of dots using a precise, mathematical approach. The participating women were taught how to create the art on paper.
The art workshop was followed by a sumptuous Kerala lunch.
Shubh Aarambh Inc, the gifting partner for the event, presented their healthy eats collection of millet dosa premixes to the participants.
