The Culinary Heritage Excellence Awards (Season 2) at Khadhya Khurak

This award recognises individuals, families, communities, enterprises, and institutions preserving, reviving, and innovating within India’s culinary heritage—recipes, ingredients, techniques, and food cultures passed down generations.

The Awardees
 Nawab Kazim Ali Khan awarded for upholding  the cuisines of the Rampur Princely State
Kumarani Navneeta Singh Deo
Gajlaxmi Palace, Dhenkanal, Odisha, a practitioner of ancestral recipes from Rajasthan and Odisha.
Yuvraj Saheb Vikramaditya Malla Deb
The Palace Jhargam, West Bengal who promotes and serves regional recipes at his heritage hotel.
Gauri Ruturaj Ingle, custodian of
Padma, Kolhapur which is an 80 year old restaurant and a pioneer of  the Kolhapur thali
Indrayani Shivraj Gaekwad
Madhav Bagh- Royal Heritage Stay, Vadodara, a practitioner of recipes of the Maratha princely states served at her heritage homestay.
Manzilat Fatima,  custodian of recipes from the house of  of Nawab Wajid Ali of Awadh, serving Mughlai heritage food at her restaurant.

Undivided Punjab Recipes Custodian and promoter of Himachali food.

Undivided Bengal Recipes Custodian, also promoting heritage recipes of Mushirabad Nawabs and Puri Jagannath Temple.

Heritage Festival Recipes Competition: Celebrating the Living Heritage of cuisines and culture.

? Objective

To celebrate and preserve traditional, regional, and heirloom recipes that reflect our culinary heritage, local ingredients, and ancestral cooking techniques.

The competition encompassed recipes of various regions and communities of India.
