McDonald’s India (W&S) brings festive families together with the new Spicy Patakha Range

Celebrating festive togetherness with bold, makhani-inspired flavours made for India’s family moments

As families come together to celebrate the festive season, McDonald’s India (West & South) is bringing a bold new flavour experience to the table with the launch of its Spicy Patakha Range. Introduced by Westlife Foodworld Ltd., which owns and operates McDonald’s restaurants across West and South India, the range features the Spicy Patakha Paneer Burger and Spicy Patakha Chicken Burger.

Building on the brand’s “Let’s Family at McD” platform, which celebrates the role McDonald’s plays in bringing families together through everyday moments and special occasions, the launch embraces the spirit of festive togetherness. From family outings and shopping breaks to festive catch-ups with loved ones, McDonald’s continues to be a place where people come together to create meaningful memories.

Inspired by India’s love for festive indulgence, both burgers combine smoky, spicy flavours with rich makhani-inspired notes to create a distinctly Indian taste experience. The Spicy Patakha Paneer Burger features a spiced paneer patty, while the Spicy Patakha Chicken Burger comes with a spicy chicken patty, both layered with a flavour-packed smoky sauce and served in soft, toasted buns.

Akshay Jatia, CEO, Westlife Foodworld Ltd., said,

“The festive season is one of the most meaningful times for families to come together and celebrate. It is also a time when consumers look for flavours that feel familiar, indulgent and festive. The Spicy Patakha Range is inspired by these insights and reflects our continued commitment to creating menu innovations that resonate with Indian tastes while giving families another reason to come together and enjoy special moments.”

To bring this festive proposition to life, McDonald’s India (West & South) has launched an integrated campaign Built on the insight that the joy of festivals often begins long before the celebrations themselves, the campaign shines a spotlight on the moments leading up to the big day, from decorating homes to festive shopping and everything in between.

The launch of the Spicy Patakha Range reflects the long-standing commitment by McDonald’s India (West & South) to understand evolving consumer preferences and creating menu innovations rooted in local tastes. For nearly three decades, the brand has continuously listened to its customers, translating consumer insights, flavour trends and changing dining occasions into products that resonate with Indian tastes.

From pioneering India-specific menu adaptations in its early years to introducing iconic favourites such as the McAloo Tikki, Maharaja Mac Veg & Chicken, and the McSpicy range, McDonald’s has consistently evolved its menu to reflect what Indian consumers want. The Spicy Patakha Range continues this journey of innovation, bringing together the growing demand for bold, indulgent flavours with the familiar appeal of makhani, one of India’s most loved taste profiles.

The Spicy Patakha Range will be available across McDonald’s restaurants in West and South India from 11 October 2026 for dine-in, takeaway and delivery, while stocks last.
