A cooking competition on the theme ‘ Best out of Waste’ had a total of 47x participants who prepared zero waste dishes using vegetable scraps/peels in cooking.
The competition was judged by 2 chefs from Leela and Preeti Thakkar, Consultant to Gulab Oils.
Three entries from the competition were selected by the judges for competition in the final round with three winners of previous competitions by IFEA and SNS.

The Cook More, Waste Less Masterclass by 2 chefs of Leela included dishes using whole fruits, vegetables and trimmings.
An expert talk was delivered by Urban Ecologists Lokendra and Rini Balsaria, and their Tree Walk team about the use of kitchen scraps for gardening and other purposes.
A delightful high tea was hosted by Leela Gandhinagar for the participants, Rotary Club members and government officials who attended the event.
