Porbandar-based Cake designers awarded at GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS

‘ The largest display of gum paste/sugar paste sculptures is 204, and was achieved by Dhvani Hindocha, in Porbandar, Gujarat, India, on 22 February 2025. ‘

I am Dhvani Hindocha, a cake decorator and sugar artist from Porbandar, Gujarat. I have always loved the fact that how an art can be the most powerful medium to represent and express emotions, life events and stories in the most creative aspect. As a cake decorator it’s my pleasure to bring joy in every celebration through theme cakes. Sugar paste is an edible sweet dough which is my favourite medium to sculpt and decorate cakes by bringing life into them.
I love making miniature sugar paste sculptures. More than cooking and baking, this is an art which I have learned from my aunt, Ms. Mrudula Hindocha and over the years I have learned a lot and tried to refine my work with patience and practice. I attempted this Guinness World Records in order to honour my aunt’s teachings, our cake business, the power of art that too with the edible medium and our rich culture of India with this display of sugar paste sculptures.
This entire display consists of 204 miniature sculptures depicting variety of Indian cultures including different professions, activities, emotions and traditions. Every sculpture is hand-crafted offering tribute and celebrating every aspect of life. From a born baby to it’s laughter and playfulness; a teenager studing, playing and pursuing hobbies; hard-working men and women in every field and profession to household chores, dancers and musicians; blending different religions and traditions.
And I am glad that with the continuous support of my family and with the god’s grace I have been able to break and  achieve the title for Guinness World records.
