Ahmedabad Food Festival of Women Chefs – 2020

Food Festival of Women Chefs 7th and 8th March 2020. FEA with Active Media (organiser of Ahmedabad Food Festival) is organising a unique Festival hosted by Sports Club of Gujarat, Ahmedabad where about 30 booths will showcase the food specialties of women food entrepreneurs, home chefs, women bakers and hobby chefs. This festival will give them an opportunity to reach target markets for b2b or b2c business. The food sector offers many opportunities for women entrepreneurship, employment for women, empowerment of socially or economically challenged women, and education and skill development for the girl child. It can be a career option for women who have to work from home because of circumstances. However, there are many notions in society about the food profession that need to be dispelled in our country. FEA hopes to achieve this for the socio-economic development of women and to fill skill gaps in the food and hospitality industry that is starved of quality human resources.
Career seminars, panel discussions, master classes and workshops are part of the festival schedule. Felicitation of women who have contributed to the food sector will be the fitting finale of the festival.
