FEA Cookoff with Kabhi B

Kabhi B is a bakery manufacturer with a retail chain in Ahmedabad, and a presence in other cities of Gujarat and Rajasthan as well.  The USP of the Kabhi B stores is that they offer the shopper a range of products at each location – breads,  chocolates, pastries, cakes, cookies, kharis, toasts,  puffs, muffins and sponge cakes,  khakra, doughnuts, cream rolls, etc manufactured at their pure-vegetarian bakery plant.   

Recently, Kabhi B has launched a new range of specialty breads like seeded buns, wheat seeded bun, corn grit sub bread and multigrain sub bread.

To launch these products, Kabhi B organised an online recipe contest in collaboration with Food Entrepreneurs Alliance (FEA), the social media platform of Innovative Food Entrepreneurs Associates LLP which connects many players of the industry to one another.   The idea was to invite home chefs to participate in a recipes contest where they could use these breads to make the dish of their choice. Each participating home chef was given a hamper of breads that you could use for their preparation and techniques. The recipe videos were uploaded on the FEA page and the home chef’s individual social media handles. 

 

The uploaded photographs and videos helped show the new products of Kabhi B to the FEA members, including many top hoteliers, caterers, restaurateurs, chefs and café owners.  

 Restaurateur Rushad Ginwala and Chef Suresh Khanna, together with FEA Co-Admin Darshan Rawal, juried the contest and selected the winners.  

 

Vaidehi Chokhani · CEO at Kanhai Foods Pvt Ltd that owns the Kabhi B brand, says, “The  recipe contest was not only an excellent branding exercise for us but we are equally happy that Kabhi B with FEA could give a platform to more than 25 home chefs to come up with innovative dishes and showcase their skills’’. 

Agrees Darshan Rawal, a co-founder of FEA with Anil Mulchandani, Dilip Thakkar and Rohit Khanna, “Cook offs are done by us to give a platform to home chefs to evolve and show creativity.  It was an absolutely enriching experience to work with such creative minds of home chefs for the recipe contest in collaboration with Kabhi B’’. Says one of the participants, “I like the product basket provided by Kabhi B and thank them for trusting FEA, giving this opportunity to our home chef members who have made us proud with their innovative dishes’’. 

 The range of recipes included Vegan Beetroot Blackbean Burger with BBQ pineapple, Indian Veggies Bread Lasagna, Stuffed Submarine Sandwich Pizza, Fried Ice-cream Buns, Crispy Seeded Bun Aloo Chaat Burger, Seed Bun Pumpkin Kalakand, Bread Dumplings, Hot & Sweet Bun, Mushroom Kebab Submarine Sandwich with Poppy Seeds Dip, Burger Dripped in Rose Rabri, Eggplant and Sweet Onion Sandwich with Garlic Cilantro Sauce, Baled Veggie Pot with Bread Crust, Rainbow  Healthy Meal Combo, Lebanese Sub, Pineapple Tofu Burger, Eggplant Sub with Garlic Mayo, Paneer Tikka Salad with Bread Crumbs, Double Chocolate Pancake, Caramelised Multigrain Bread Puran Poli, etc.
